Wiesenmeyer joins Jerome County Fair

The Jerome County Fair has selected Andrea Wiesenmeyer to fill the position of Fair manager. Wiesenmeyer will officially begin her new position on February 1.

Jerome County Fair Board President Gary Warr stated “We are very excited to welcome Andrea to Jerome. She brings a wealth of experience and is coming from the second largest fair in Iowa which had 300,000 attendees annually. Her experience and the fact that she is from a rural and agricultural based area, that is similar in size to Jerome County, make her a good fit at the Jerome County Fair.”

Prior to joining the Jerome County Fair, Wiesenmeyer spent the past five years as the marketing and partnership director at the Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa. Wiesenmeyer also has experience as the director of operations for the Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association in Arnolds Park, Iowa, executive director for the Lanai Art Center in Lanai City, Hawaii, and a total of more than 20 years experience in management, marketing, and design.

“I’m very excited for this opportunity to manage the Jerome County Fair,” said Wiesenmeyer. “Growing up in a rural area with a family in agriculture, visits to the county and state fair were among my summer highlights. Fairs create lasting family memories each year, and I’m looking forward to sharing the Jerome County Fair with others and helping them to create their own memories!”
